How DB Web Solutions uses necessary cookies and manages optional analytics or marketing technologies.
What cookies are
Cookies are small records that a website stores in your browser. A website can also use browser storage, such as local storage, for a similar purpose. First-party cookies are set by the website you visit; third-party cookies may be set by an external service included on that website. Session records normally end with the browsing session, while persistent records remain until they expire or you remove them. These technologies can provide requested functions, protect forms and sessions, and remember choices such as consent or interface preferences.
Cookie categories
Necessary cookies and storage are always active because they support security, Drupal sessions and forms, consent state, the colour-theme preference, and other functions required to provide the website. They cannot be disabled through the consent controls.
Analytics is off by default. On the production website, choosing this category allows Google Analytics 4 to load and measure how the website is used. Google may process usage, device, and request information as the analytics provider.
Marketing is off by default. No advertising, remarketing, or other marketing tag is currently configured.
Google Analytics 4 is the only configured analytics provider. It is not loaded and does not receive a page view until Analytics consent is granted. Analytics and Marketing remain independent choices.
Current website usage
Drupal may set SESS or SSESS session cookies when a session is needed for security, authenticated access, or form functionality. The consent module stores the choice in the first-party cookies dbws-cookie-consent, dbws-cookie-consent-categories, and dbws-cookie-consent-version. The theme stores the selected light or dark interface under dbwsTheme in local storage. If Analytics is accepted on the production website, Google Analytics 4 may set _ga and _ga_* cookies and receive a page view. Rejecting optional cookies or leaving Analytics off prevents Google Analytics from loading. Meta Pixel, Hotjar, advertising tags, and remarketing are not configured.
Managing preferences
Necessary cannot be turned off. Analytics and Marketing can be enabled independently. Choose Reject optional to keep both optional categories off, Save preferences to apply the individual switches, or Accept all to enable both. You can change the decision at any time through the Cookie settings action in the site header, mobile menu, or footer. Clearing cookies or browser storage can reset the saved choice and the interface theme.
Relation to the Privacy Policy
Some cookie or browser-storage identifiers can be personal data. The Privacy Policy explains the website’s wider handling of personal data, enquiries, security records, and operational data.
