Problem

EK Riepas needed more than a replacement for its earlier online catalogue. Private drivers and fleets had to be able to understand the available products and workshop services, choose suitable tyres, reserve a convenient visit, and complete the journey in one of three languages. The platform also needed a dependable technical foundation for continued development and launch.

Solution

Dmitrijs Brujevs planned the system and is building the replacement as one Drupal Commerce application. It brings tyre sales, workshop information, and online appointment booking into a multilingual customer journey, while a DevOps workflow connects containerised runtime, Nginx delivery, release validation, and repeatable staging deployment under the same technical ownership.

Result

The project is in active development. A public staging release now demonstrates multilingual product discovery, responsive commerce foundations, service information, and an online booking flow with service, date, and time selection. The application is delivered through a validated release path; final production launch and measurable business outcomes remain future milestones.

About EK Riepas and the modernisation

EK Riepas serves private drivers and fleets with more than 10 years of experience in tyre sales and workshop service. Its work includes new and used tyres, fitting by appointment, wheel repair and painting, seasonal storage, and air-conditioning service. Dmitrijs created the previous EK Riepas website; the client returned for a new generation covering the complete customer journey, application architecture, development, and delivery.

From online choice to a planned workshop visit

The E-Service flow lets a customer choose the required workshop service, see an available calendar, select a date and time, and receive confirmation. Booking is part of the same website as the catalogue and service information, reducing unnecessary calls, waiting, and uncertainty before the visit.

Product complexity translated into customer choices

Tyres combine season, width, height, diameter, brand, load and speed ratings, stock, price, and product variations. The interface turns that structure into practical filters, readable cards, and customer-facing names while retaining the data required by the commerce system.

One responsibility across the system

The project is designed as one maintainable system rather than a storefront assembled from disconnected parts.

Commerce and catalogue

Structured products and variations, customer filters, stock and pricing presentation, cart workflows, and a foundation for continued catalogue development.

Workshop services and booking

Service information and online appointment booking connect service selection, an availability calendar, time slots, confirmation, and preparation for the visit.

DevOps and launch foundation

Containerised runtime, Nginx delivery, release validation, immutable release publication, staging deployment, operational checks, and documentation prepare the application for a controlled production launch.

Project status — July 2026

As of July 2026, the modernisation is in active development and the public staging site is available for review. Final launch, production acceptance, and measurable business outcomes remain separate future milestones.
